Vintage set of tins, cans, drums by Verkade with Nasturtiums

Verkade Nasturtiums. 

Lovely set of three tins made by Verkade which consist of a rusk tin, biscuit tin and a rectangular tin for gingerbread (Honingontbijtkoek).

Rusk tin. 
Tall, cylindrical, slightly convex lid. The surface is dark yellow with a lighter yellow diamond pattern. On this surface, six clusters of painted nasturtiums. The flowers are red, green, and dark green; on the lid the decoration repeats itself. Bottom marked: two concentric circles depicting a bugler on horseback.

Biscuit tin. 
Half sized tin by Verkade. Color yellow, decorated with pattern of nasturtiums. Design Cees Dekker. Bottom marked with: Verkade Fabrieken Zaandam. Also this tin is a part of the four-parted series of tins in this pattern, like the rusk tin, half sized tin and the rectangular gingerbread tin.

Rectangular tin. 
Rectangular tin with rounded corners and convex cover, front and back images of stylized flower garlands and sides stylized floral motif. On the entire tin a pale yellow honeycomb pattern. Text on cover: "Honey Gingerbread". Bottom labeled with: 'Verkade Zaandam'.

Verkade. 
Verkade (Dutch: Koninklijke Verkade) is a Dutch manufacturing company. The company is headquartered in Zaandam and was one of the oldest existing family companies in the Netherlands. Originally founded in 1886 by Ericus Verkade to make mostly bread and rusk, it expanded to produce cookies, sweets, and, especially, chocolates.
