Vintage coffee tin De Roode Pelikaan Le pelican Rouge, Red Pelican

SKU: 650

The Red Pelican Coffee Tin.

The beautiful pelikan design of this coffee tin has not been changed since the last century. The design is identical at both sides, though the one side is Dutch and the other is in the French language.

The story begins more than 150 years ago in the 19th century in Antwerp. In 1863 Joseph van Leckwijck with his sons started a coffee burning company named Continental Company for Coffee Burners. Here they learned the art of coffee burning, all under the original brand name 'Roode Pelican'.

They were the first to trade roasted coffee and learned the good tricks of the subject as soon as possible.

Under the original brand name "De Roode Pelican" they developed affordable quality coffee for coffee lovers.
