Vintage tins, “De Bruin, koek”. 

Set of three rectangular tins with rounded corners and slightly bulged lid. Several images in color all around.

"Amsterdam"
On the lid the Amsterdam canals with a boat trip. On the front a field in Groningen with a plow pulled by a team of horses. On the backside a friesian meadow landscape with cows. On the left side a Dutch polder landscape with mill. On the right the Vinkeveen lakes with sailboat. Front, left, portrait of a farmers wife, on back, left, portrait of a farmer.

Lid: "AMSTERDAM". Front side: "GRONINGEN". Back side: "FRIESLAND". Left side: "UTRECHT". Right side: "Z-HOLLAND". Bottom: "de Bruin koek / HONING IN UW WONING!" (embossed).

"Rotterdam"
On the lid the Rotterdam harbor with two seagoing vessels, a tugboat, powerboat and port cranes. On the front a Gelderse sand spray. On the backside a meadow with sheep and shepherd. On the left side an acre in the Noordoostpolder. On the right side a ditch with bridges and farm in a Overijssel's village. Front, left, portrait of a farmers wife, on back, left, portrait of a farmer.

Lid: "ROTTERDAM". Front: "GELDERLAND". Back: "DRENTE". Left: "N.O.POLDER". Right: "OVERIJSEL". Bottom: "de Bruin koek / HONING IN UW WONING!" (embossed).

"Gorinchem"
On the lid the Gorinchem village view from the water. On the front a harbor in Zeeland with several old ships. On the backside a Brabants forest. On the left side, Limburg's hilly landscape with spruce. On the right side the Gouda Waag with cheese market. Front, left, portrait of a farmer, on back, left, portrait of a farmers wife.

Lid: "GORINCHEN". Front: "ZEELAND". Back: "N-BRABANT". Left: "LIMBURG". Right: "N-HOLLAND". Bottom: "de Bruin koek / HONING IN UW WONING!" (in reliëf).

  • Height: 4,4 cm.

  • Width: 9,3 cm. 

  • All tins are marked at the bottom. The letter "B" of Bruin, in the bottom, forms a bear with a sort of chef's cap.

These three-piece set of tins can be stored in each other!

Dating: 1950 - 1970.
