Vintage tin, candy drum Mackintosh's Golden Toffee

Mackintosh's Golden Toffee, Candy drum. 

Round vintage Mackintosh's candy drum for Golden Toffee. Mainly red with orange capitals, loose lid. On the side a white oval shape with an image of a few toffees.

• Height 17 cm. 
• Diameter 23 cm. 

Mackintosh's was a British confectionery firm that was principally known for Mackintosh's Toffee and for brands such as Quality Street and Rolo. 

Mackintosh's went on to develop brands such as Quality Street (1936), Rolo (1938), Caramac (1959) and Toffee Crisp (1963). 

In 1969, the company merged with Rowntree's to form Rowntree Mackintosh Confectionery, which was itself taken over by Nestlé in 1988.
