Olivier B. Bommel, also called Sir Bommel, Sir Ollie (by Tom Poes), OBB (by AWS) and Sir Olivier (by Joost), is a famous Dutch cartoon character from the comic series Bommelsaga of the Adventures of Tom Poes, invented by Marten Toonder.

Olivier B. Bommel, born December 13, made his debut on 12 July 1941 in the third adventure of Tom Poes (In the Magic Garden). Initially he was a stupid, noisy, rich foreigner. The bear remained a regular character in the comic strips, with the exception of the 17th adventure, The Secret of the Northern Lights. With the development of his character through the years he gradually took over the leading role of Tom Poes.

In The master painter he has family portraits of his great-uncle Zebedee Quirinus, uncle Archibald, godmother Oliva, grandfather and nephew Zacharias.

Mr Bommel is the inhabitant of Slot Bommelstein, located at Distellaan 13, four kilometers south of the city of Rommeldam.
