Five beautiful metal food containers made by Brabantia around 1960

Description
Five metal food canisters manufactured by Brabantia around 1960. These are five cans with black print in capital letters on a creamy white surface for rusk, coffee, sugar, cocoa and tea. These tin cans are equipped with a loose chrome lid. At the bottom marked with the logo "Brabantia home steel, made in Holland".

These tins are all five in a neat vintage condition with traces of use.

Brabantia is a privately owned Dutch company which manufactures items for the home such as waste bins, laundry racks, food storage containers and other products.

The company was founded in 1919 in Aalst, Netherlands, under the name of Elderen & Co, a company specializing in sheet metal fabrication. The name Brabantia is derived from the province of Aalst, North Brabant, and was an early Van Elderen trade name.

The company markets its products on the basis of their supposed toughness and durability. According to its mission statement, it aims to develop products that are "Designed for Living".
