Bakelite (registered trademark for phenolic resin) is regarded as the very first fully synthetic plastic. It was mainly applied around the middle of the twentieth century.
Ashtray
An ashtray is a product in which smokers can deposit the ashes of their cigarettes or cigars, and can put down their remainder of the smoked cigarette.
Functionally, there are two types of ashtrays: closed and open ashtrays. A closed version keeps the smells of the removed ash slightly inside, so that fewer odors come from the ashtray.
Ashtrays become rarer as a result of the smoking ban inmore and more countries.
