Round white tin with a picture of shop and caramels by Lonka.

Description
Round white tin by Lonka with separate screw cap. On the lid a drawing of a baker with a baker's hat. The decoration of this tin consists of an image of a number of Lonka MOU caramels in a wrapper and a drawing of an old shop interior with a counter.

Texts on tin (in  Dutch): "Lonka the only real Caramel MOU".

"Caramel MOU a specialty of Lonka; through and through soft carrots made according to old confectioners' recipe"

Condition
This tin is in an original vintage condition with traces of use and age-related traces of wear.

• Diameter: 10.5 cm.

Lonka is derived from London Caramel Works. The first factory was opened in Breda in 1920; ten years later a second branch in Essen (Belgium) followed.

The second factory in Essen was opened in 1930. The London Caramel and Toffee Works Limited (Lonca) NV was officially established on 30 October 1930. After a few years, the registered name 'Lonca' changed to 'Lonka'.

In 1965 the factory in Breda was closed and the production was transferred to Essen, where in those years, mainly caramel, toffee, and hard sugar was produced.
