Anker is originally a historic German brand of motorcycles.

The company name was: Anker-Werke, Bielefeld, later PAMAG (Paderborner Maschinenbau AG), Paderborn.

Anker made bicycles before the Second World War and probably also motorcycles, with the name "Anker" not yet being used. Only in 1949 did that happen. Light motorcycles were produced with 98- to 250cc ILO two-stroke engines. In 1952, the Paderborner Maschinenbau AG in Paderborn took over almost the entire production, which also changed the brand name to "PAMAG". With the exception of Anker mopeds, the production of which remained in Bielefeld until it ended in 1958. Anker, however, remained a well-known brand name of sewing machines, cash registers, calculators, etc.
