Park Sonsbeek in Arnhem is the most famous park in this city. It derives its name from the eponymous brook originally named Sint-Jansbeek. It is 67 hectares and borders the parks Zijpendaal and Gulden Bodem in the north. These three parks are closely linked and together they are around 200 hectares. In the east Sonsbeek borders the districts Sonsbeekkwartier and St. Marten, in the south almost at the center and in the west at the Burgemeesterswijk. The area is a protected cityscape.
