Bamboo is the name for a number of plant species in a genus group (tribus) of the grasses (Gramineae, Poaceae). This Bambuseae tribus belongs to the Bambusodae supertribus and the Bambusoideae subfamily. The name bamboo comes from Malay and is known in almost all languages (such as bambu, bamboo, etc.).
In recent years, bamboo is increasingly seen as a sustainable alternative to tropical hardwood and can be seen in furniture and other utensils in the interior.
