Description
A very nice coffee canister made by Albert Heijn which is equipped with a loose red lid, including a fixed lid with sprinkling opening. This canister is decorated with various images that are related to the coffee bean harvest. The background is vanilla yellow with images of a woman and a man. The tin is refillable from below through an insert lid with tab.

This narrow, but high cylindrical round tin shows some images of a veiled woman with a basket on her head and a South American man with a basket of coffee beans. At the bottom, the lid on the lid is marked with the name "Albert Heijn".

This refillable coffee tin with sprinkle lid has beautiful bright colours, including lilac, green, purple and red with a red lid. Text in the bottom: "refill by means of 'leval lift' New York City".

Condition
This tin is in a good vintage condition with normal traces of use and age-related traces of wear

Albert Heijn B.V. is the largest Dutch supermarket chain, founded in 1887 in Oostzaan, Netherlands. It is named after Albert Heijn, Sr., the founder of the first store in Oostzaan.

Albert Heijn is the oldest organization owned and operated by the Dutch supermarket operator Ahold. The founder of the company (Albert Heijn) was born in 1865. In fact, the name "Ahold" is short for Albert Heijn Holding. In 1952, Albert Heijn initiated the self-service store. For the first time, the customers were not served one by one but could pick their products by themselves.

The stores are full-service markets (as opposed to discounters), known for their focus on quality stores and products. 

In 1981 begon Albert Heijn met de AH franchise-formule, waarbij zelfstandige supermarktondernemers onder de naam AH opereren. In datzelfde jaar begon de campagne: 's Lands grootste kruidenier gaat op de kleintjes letten. 

In 1987 bestond Albert Heijn honderd jaar en kreeg het moederbedrijf Ahold het predicaat "Koninklijk".
