Édouard Frédéric Henri Kutter (1887-1978) was a Luxembourg photographer, the son of Paul Kutter, who was born in Switzerland and who founded a studio in the Luxembourg city in 1883.

Edouard Kutter was the eldest of four children. His brother, Joseph Kutter (1894-1941), became one of the most important painters in Luxembourg, while Bernard (1889-1961) also became a photographer. His third brother was Paul Kutter Jr. (1899-1941) and his sister Catherine Louise Marie (1891-1958). Edouard began working as an apprentice with his father in 1898 before studying photography at some of the most developed studios in Germany and Austria.

Kutter returned to Luxembourg shortly before the First World War. After managing a branch of his father's business in 1917, he opened his own studio at 4, Avenue de la Liberté in 1918. In the same year, Grand Duchess Marie-Adélaïde gave him the title of court photographer. As a result, he took many photos of the Grand Duke's family, which can be viewed today in Luxembourg's photo deck.

Edouard Kutter died in the city of Luxembourg on November 3, 1978 and left behind a son, Édouard Kutter Jr., who also became a court photographer.

Grand Duchess Josephine Charlotte and Prinses Astrid Habsburg of Luxembourg

Perfetti Van Melle is a worldwide operating confectionery manufacturer.

Van Melle began around 1840 as a bakery at Breskens. They also sold sugar balls. In 1900, Izaak van Melle also began to produce this automatically by using machines. About 1920, Izaak's brother Dirk-Machiel started a factory for biscuits and waffles, including the famous Dutch Maria biscuit (Mariakaakje).

They search Internationally for recipes and from 1926, toffees were manufactured, as well as the fruit caramel and peppermint caramel introduced from Poland. These sweets are still popular throughout the world under the names Fruittella and Mentos. The company found markets far beyond the limits and in 1935 even the first company aircraft of the Netherlands, the Double Eagle, was purchased. On September 11, 1944, however, Breskens was heavily bombarded by the Allies, which also destroyed the factory. In 1946, production was restarted in Rotterdam. In the eighties of the 20th century, the company moved to Breda, where about 650 people worked.
