Description
This set consists of six egg cups made of black opal glass made by Arc International. Beautifully designed in the shape of a chicken and consisting of tempered black opal or milk glass. Marked at the bottom with "France".

Condition
This set of six egg cups is in a very good vintage condition.

Arc International was founded in 1825 in the village of Arques in northern France by Alexander des Lyons de Noircarm, who started production with glass storage containers known as "dame-jeanne", which were very popular at the time. In the following years, the company diversified into cooking and eating glassware for consumers. In the 1960s, the company completely mastered the production process of glassware and other finer glassware products.

From 1897 the company was dominated by the Durand family, who eventually bought the company completely in 1926. The family remains the sole owner to this day. The company has applied a number of practices, making it one of Europe's leading glass producers for mass production.
