Description
Beautiful set of vintage storage tins for Sugar and Tea by the AJP brand. Until 1975 a part of the coffee and tea department of Niemeijer. These tins are equipped with a separate lid and have a longitudinal seam at the back. The decoration of these tins consists of a reseda-green background with a block pattern in the colors gold and black on the top and bottom.

In the middle of the tins in a gold-colored rectangle with black capital letters "Sugar" and "Tea". At the bottom both tins are marked with the letters A.J.P.

Not only very beautiful, but also great to use for storing sugar and tea.

Condition
These tin canisters by AJP are in a good vintage condition with traces of use and age-related traces of wear.

A.J.P. 
The Letters AJP stand for the initials of Abraham Josef Polak from Groningen. Abraham Josef Polak started producing pudding powder in 1899 on the basis of an English invention. With this powder, by adding milk, a delicious pudding can be made easily and quickly. In 1903, Polak moved into a building on Hereweg in Groningen to further expand the manufacture of pudding powder. The pudding is marketed under the name A.J.P. Abraham takes his sons, Moritz and Eduard, into the company and they continue his work after the death of Abraham Polak in 1924.
