Rectangular tin with the portrait of a man with a cigar for "Regal Deliaantjes" cigars.

Description
Rectangular tin with hinged lid, made with a seamed longitudinal seam and bottom. The hinge is a so-called needle hinge. The decoration of this tin consists of a blue background with a white band, on which a smoking man with a bow. Also provided with surfaces and lines in black. On the lid a factory mark, a circle with three tobacco leaves and letters. The inside of the lid is white with black and shows the same man as on top of the lid. Text on the tin: REGAL Deliaantjes Factory mark registered.

Regal was Senator's cigar brand for the more expensive segment.

Condition
This cigar tin is in an original vintage condition with various traces of use and age-related traces of wear.

Senator was a cigar brand of the Eindhoven-based company Mignot en de Block NV, which was run by the subsidiary N.V. Senator cigar factories Eindhoven Holland.

The tobacco factory existed from 1858 and celebrated a centenary in 1958 with an 'information film' about tobacco (in color). The title of that film was: Praise of Tobacco. Cigarette production was taken over in 1969 by Philip Morris, and the cigar department by Hofnar.

For the more expensive market segment, N.V. Senator made cigars under the name Regal. Senator Mundi also made Victor cigars.
