Bakkerij B. Hus (1915-1987) was a Dutch bread and pastry bakery, which supplied The Hague and part of the Netherlands with its bakery products. People talked about Hus. From 1971 to 1987, the Hus bakery, which was the largest bakery in the Netherlands, was located in Rijswijk.
In 1958 a large-scale merger took place of the bakeries Paul C. Kaiser, Lensvelt-Nicola and Donker, which came under N.V. Flour and Bread Factory De Zeeuw, B. Hus.
The Hus group with more than 400 branches was led in 1959 by a five-member board of Pieter Hus, K.J. Kuypers, J.C.J. and J.K.P. Kraan and P. de Ruiter, and used different names: Hus, Lensvelt-Nicola, Paul C. Kaiser, Donker, and Willems Simons in and around The Hague, and Van der Meer & Schoep in Rotterdam (77 branches), Henri J. Carels in Amsterdam (23 stores) and in Haarlem (8 stores), and Schat-Hus in Utrecht (12 stores).
