Maggi is a brand of ready-to-eat soup, stock, stock cubes, ketchup, sauces and noodles. The brand is part of Nestlé.

The Maggi brand was founded in Switzerland in 1872 by Julius Maggi. He wanted to provide the working class with high nutritional value food through the brand. This firm then left the Raamgracht for an office with storage space on the Haarlemmerweg, until then used by Electrotechnical bureau Groeneveld & van der Pol. Paul Horn left in 1930. Maggi had the building converted in 1933/1934 into a production location for the Maggi brand, which was opened at Haarlemmerweg in Amsterdam. In 1994 this production location was moved to a new factory in Venray. Maggi has not been produced in the Netherlands since 2005.
