Pottery is a collective term for ceramics baked from clay at temperatures up to about 1100 degrees Celsius, such as dishes, pots, dishes, drinking cups, jugs and tiles.

Pottery is softer and less durable than stoneware and porcelain, but it is much easier and cheaper to make. Due to the porosity of earthenware, it almost always needs to be glazed. In addition, glazes are used to provide the pottery with various colours.
