Tin baker's cart for storing and serving Kruidkoek.

Description
Beautiful tin in the shape of an authentic baker's cart after a model as it was used in 1915. The tin is equipped with a hinged lid. The decoration of this tin consists of a green background with yellow lettering. The inside of the tin is clean and golden. The wheels really turn!

At the bottom the text: "Kruidkoek Authentic baker's cart from Wieger Ketellapper. This was used around 1915".

From 1960 onwards, all the company's energy was invested in the development of Kruidkoek. The current mixing process of Friese Kruidkoek was developed in these years. At the end of the last century, Koninklijke Peijnenburg decided to take over the Wieger Ketellapper company and associated factory in Sint-Johannesga.

Condition
This tin bakery cart is in a neat condition with minimal traces of use and age-related traces of wear. Pictures are part of the description.

Cake manufacturer Wieger Ketellapper. This Frisian, original family business dates back to 1900, when Johannes Ketellapper started a bakery near Heerenveen. His son Wieger took over the bakery in 1927 and turned it into a real company that made a name for itself in the region. Baking gingerbread was a hobby within their work for Johannes and Wieger, which meant that a lot of attention was paid to flavour development and variants.
