Description
Elongated rectangular vintage household money box from Brabantia with rounded corners. The decoration of this piggy bank for household expenses consists of a cream white background with sleek black lettering. It used to be the absolute gift for every wedding party.

It was all very common in the 1960s. The men are the breadwinners and married women belong. The salaries are paid every Saturday, when the working week is over, and neatly calculated in a pay bag. And in order to be able to cover larger costs with your weekly wage, you must save. The savings box is ideal for this.

This money box is made by Brabantia and has compartments for seven types of expenses: clothing, gas-light, fuel, household art., insurance, holidays and miscellaneous (translated).

The tin is equipped with a hinged lid. There are seven slots in the hinged lid. Below the slots the names of the destinations and on the inside of the can six partitions as partition.

Complete with working lock and key, of course. In addition, it still has the original Brabantia sticker.

Brabantia is a company founded in the Dutch village of Aalst and manufactures metal and plastic household products. Today, the head office is located in Valkenswaard, North Brabant. Production no longer takes place in the Netherlands.
