Vintage Toys

In the 1960s and 1970s there was a lot of debate about the role of toys in parenting and people wondered whether the choice for specific boys 'and girls' toys such as dolls and plastic pistols was genetically determined or that the choice was manipulated by the parents. Research suggests that boys generally choose different toys than girls. The question of whether war toys promote aggression was also investigated.

Playing is so important to most children that they play with almost everything they can find in their environment. The original purpose of the object does not matter; in the perception of the child, any object in the context of the game can be something completely different.

In order to meet the needs of their children to play, but also to teach children playfully in the use of tools, toys have been made since the earliest times.
