Unie van tabak- en sigarenfabrieken
On February 2, 1934, the Union of Tobacco and Cigar Factories was officially established. Registered office was Amsterdam. This factory was a subsidiary of Turmac. Until then Turmac was engaged in the manufacture of cigarettes. The creation of the Union brought tobacco packages and cigars to the market. Probably with the aim of conquering a part of that market. This did not happen under the established name of Turmac, because if it failed, Turmac's reputation would not be discredited.
In the course of 1933, smoking tobacco was already being advertised. One of the brands is Unieclub with the addition Edeltabak, a combination of refined tobacco.
Besides the paper packaging, cans of 50 grams and a storage tin of 250 grams were issued.
