Carriage
A carriage is a two or four-wheeled carriage with a fixed or folding hood, pulled by one or more draft animals (usually horses). Unlike a farm wagon or a cart (two-wheeled), a carriage is well-sprung and often closed (or covered with a movable hood), allowing passengers to sit comfortably and protected from the elements. There are usually doors on the sides of a carriage, sometimes with windows. Carriages are generally driven from the seat by a driver.
