Description
This vintage Infraphil KL2901 is an infrared heat lamp designed by Charlotte Perriand for the Philips brand (Dutch Design). The holder is made of Bakelite. This infraphil was originally designed for therapeutic light therapy / for the relief of medical complaints. The Infraphil is a real eye-catcher for any retro interior. This rare model was also called the paperclip model because of its shape. Still available in the original box.

The Infraphil KL2901 has a bakelite lamp holder.
The open version is very handy. An advantage of this embodiment is that the infrared lamp can easily be replaced by, among others, a mixed light lamp for ultraviolet irradiation. This handy infrared lamp was recommended by Philips for inflammation, bruises, muscle aches and many other conditions.

The lamp is in fine working condition and in a neat vintage condition with minor traces of use. Including 150 Watt lamp and with unearthed plug.

Infraphil
It has long been known that in many cases heat can speed healing and soothe pain. This heat is delivered in a very efficient and practical way with the help of the Philips 'Infraphil'. Infraphil is the general brand name for a product group of heat lamps for self-medication, produced and marketed by Koninklijke Philips Electronics NV All Infraphil products had the Philips word mark or a Philips logo on the luminaires, packaging, instructions for use and on the heat lamp self. The brand name Infraphil was also applied to the packaging, the user manual and the heat lamp. The brand name Infraphil did not appear on the luminaires until around 1980.
